Poland’s Milk Bar’s Over the Years
Visual Support for Citizen Science Research Presentation | Nourish Scotland & UCL Institute for Global Prosperity
This infographic was created to accompany the final presentation of citizen scientist Jagoda’s research, which explored how the perception of Bar Mleczny (traditional Polish milk bars) has changed over the years—what has evolved, and what has remained constant.
Developed as part of a collaborative project with Nourish Scotland and the UCL Institute for Global Prosperity, the research focused on communal food provision and public diners, using Bar Mleczny as a lens to reflect on food, culture, and community. The project centred on Glasgow’s Polish migrant community, drawing historical and emotional connections between past and present-day experiences of public dining.
The infographic offers an illustrative timeline and key themes from the research, helping to communicate insights visually for a public workshop held at the Civic House in Glasgow.
